Our Commitment to the Community
Peak One Surgery Center is dedicated to giving back to our community—both locally and globally, within and outside the health care arena. We believe local and global giving positively influences our employees and our community.
As part of this commitment, physicians and staff from Peak One Surgery Center contribute their time, energy, expertise and funding to a variety of projects. We encourage participation in our Community Surgery Day where the surgery center partners with Summit Community Care Clinic to provide surgical services to members of Summit County at no charge.
Peak One Surgery Center also supports its physicians and staff who participate in medical mission trips designed to provide care in the United States and abroad. Members of Peak One Surgery Center have donated hundreds of hours and their expertise to provide medical care to local residents and patients in Africa, Latin America and disaster areas including Haiti. Since 2010, numerous physicians and staff members including nurses, surgical technicians and business office personnel have participated in these medical mission trips.
Peak One Surgery Center also encourages local volunteerism. Our facility staff volunteer in Summit County at the local food bank, participate in food drives, the Summit Community Care Clinic and other community service organizations.
